PROJECTS

Nebo Primary

A security fence was installed thanks to Evergreen Construction and the Rain Water Harvesting System was done by Aquarista.

Security guards were initially employed by Vuselela School Makeover but are now employed by the school. We are proud to say that there were no break-ins after the installation of the fence and the employment of security guards.

Most of the 300+ children come from a very poor community and they spend most days hungry. We aim to make this school safe, beautiful and also to feed the children on a daily basis.

Balula

Balula Home Based Care & Craft Centre is situated in Fisantekraal squatter camp. They look after up to 20 disabled children and desperately need to do the following.

1. Build an extra room to accommodate all the children.

2. Build a bathroom with running water so that these children do not have to use the community facilities.

They need educational toys, but the Department of Social Development suggests only certain educational toys as these children have learning disabilities and need specialised educational toys.

Dendethu Primary

We received a call for help from Dendethu Primary School in KwaZulu Natal. They have had multiple break-ins due to the fact that the fence around the school is not sufficient to keep vagrants out.

They also need burglar bars for the windows and safety gates for the classroom doors.

They have a building on the premises that they were using as classrooms but the building was declared unfit for use.
